Madaba Plains Project

The Madaba Plains Project (MPP) is a cooperative project focused on the Madaba Plains region of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, continuing the work started with the original Heshbon Expedition. The MPP region lies between the Dead Sea and the city of Amman, the ancient homeland of the biblical Amorites, Ammonites, and Moabites. The MPP is centered at Andrews University’s Institute of Archaeology.
